The lookout tower U Jakuba is located in the heart of Czech Canada  near the village Valtínov (In South Bohemia between town J. Hradec and Dačice) at the peak called Havel mountain at altitude of 680 metres.

The lookout tower was opened to the public in 2013. This unique construction of glued larch wood profiles resembles its unique shape of pencil. Total height is 40.7 meters. To the top you climb 180 comfortable steps of spiral staircase. In the concrete base there is a gallery of lookout towers and a tourist centre with refresments. In 2016 there was an amusingly educational forest park and two educational path built in and around the lookout tower.
